International Dialogue on Actor Training

We will invite students to share their reflections and questions concerning the BodyConstitution training and workshop sessions. How the sessions and work demonstrations held as part of a number of academies, seminars and workshops affected the daily acting practice of the young drama students? How the newly acquired training methods and ways of working fit in the syllabi of their drama schools? How a drama school student can transform and integrate into his/her daily work the experience of practising other forms of movement and source techniques such as martial arts and vocal traditions from other cultures?

The events held in 2014–2015 will be discussed and summed up by students of PWST National Academy of Theatre Arts in Kraków, Branch in Wrocław, students of the Oslo National Academy of the Arts (KHiO) as well as Hanne Krohn Riege (KHiO), Bogusława Sztencel-Morawska (PWST) and Krzysztof Boczkowski (PWST) – the educators who co-programmed the BodyConstitution events for Wrocław and Oslo drama schools. The discussion will be accompanied by the opening of the exhibition Training, Teaching, Acting (Trening, aktorstwo, nauczanie/Trening, skuespillerarbeid, og undervisning).
